November's theme was LET'S CAMP & CITIZENSHIP. We began the month with our annual Fall Pack Camping Trip with 100+ campers in attendance at Oak Park Campground. Our Campfire Program included a special Bobcat Ceremony welcoming over 25 new scouts. Dens worked on requirements focused on their communities, learning about service to others, the significance of the US Flag, elected officials and government, and working together as a team.
Scouts participated in a myriad of service projects throughout the month, both in den meetings coloring cards and making letters for the Great Stuffing event and Hugs for Soldiers, as well as beautifying their local community of Northridge with street cleaning with VCC and holiday candy cane decorating with the Granada Hills Business Improvement District along the parade route. The day before Thanksgiving, a large group of scouts volunteered at Big Sunday's Great Stuffing Event helping bag food for families.
We are excited to close out the year with the Granada Hills Parade and our annual International Potluck Feast, where all families will come together to celebrate our diverse pack and give away our Raffle Prizes! All scouts will have an opportunity to come home with a prize before they leave for winter break.
