Over a hundred Pack 911 scouts, parents and siblings headed to Cabrillo Beach Youth Waterfront Center for our first Fall Camping Trip of the season. We started off Saturday morning with a hearty breakfast cooked up by the Bear Families, then a polar bear plunge and swim test in the pool before heading out to sea on row boats, kayaks and canoes. After a delicious lunch of nachos and sandwiches by the Webelos Families, we took off on a short hike to the Aquarium. The afternoon was spent preparing den skits and enjoying the surf and sand. The AOL Families served up an Italian feast of pasta, variety of sauces, salad, and bread and we settled into our Campfire Program in the spacious amphitheater, where each den prepared fun skits, songs, participated in our annual Bobcat Ceremony and a surprise appearance by a ferocious bear! Of course, no campout is complete without finishing the night off with traditional s'mores! A HUGGEEE Thank you to ALL the parents and scouts that pitched in, cleaned, cooked, prepped, guided, sang, played, swam, and generally helped make this experience memorable and fun for the whole family!
Please take a moment to fill out our Camping Survey and share any Roses or Thorns (something positive and memorable or something negative or area to improve), so that we can continue to grow for next time!
