Dear Pack 911 Families,
We had a great turnout for our Castaic Lake Family Camp on March 21-23, with almost 100 happy campers. Thank you for joining us and braving the wind. I enjoyed seeing all of the scouts work on their fishing, knots, helping us cook and having fun on the dirt hill, and getting to know all of the new parents. While we try to pack a lot of activities into a single day, I hope you had time to enjoy the great weather and beautiful scenery at the 3 acres campground. I want to extend a heartfelt thank you for all of the parents that helped us load in, setup, clean, pack up, entertain our kids, plan activities and generally made the weekend a success! Many hands make light work, and our leadership team appreciates all of your support.
By April, most of our scouts should be on track to complete their 6 required adventures and 2+ electives and earn their rank. (New scouts can work with their den leaders and parents to try to catch up.) We still have a few more fun electives planned, including our Valley Hive bee farm field trip on April 6, and our Bike rodeo on May 10th. Our fearless leaders will be preparing for our June 7th Bridging Ceremony & AOL Crossover, and I'd love to invite you to join our team by signing up to volunteer in either a leadership or committee role, lend a hand or a creative idea to make our events extra special, or participate in planning our 2025-2026 Program Year. You are ALL a part of this Pack's success and we value your input and experience to make this scouting program a memorable, fun, and educational one. Please take a look at upcoming April events and join us on April 1st at 6pm for our monthly committee meeting to provide your input. As always, we are here to help make you and your scout's experience a positive one!
Yours in Scouting,
Cubmaster Jeff
