You might have already had your signup rated, but here's some information for those of you that haven't or for those of you that just want to know more!
When first registering for Textbroker, you're prompted to submit a writing sample based on the instructions that we give. These instructions are meant to give an idea of what order briefings commonly look like. We're looking at how well you can follow the prompt, especially when it comes to the topic and at least attempting the HTML (we know that part can be tricky).
Our editors review every single signup and rate it based on quality and instructions. Signups that are found to be plagiarized are immediately rejected as are signups that made no attempt to follow instructions. Signups that pass through are rated at either 3 or 4 stars. We no longer receive 2-star orders, and authors are required to pass our 5-star advancement test in order to be rated at a 5.
Once your signup has been rated, you'll be able to start working on your first five orders. You can choose any orders at your star level or lower, but we recommend orders with word counts of 150 or more to ensure we get a good understanding of where your quality is at.
After you finish these orders and the client accepts them, you'll pop up in our queue of authors to rate. During this time, your account will be blocked, but don't worry. It should only take a few days! As soon as you get your rating, your account will open back up, and you'll be able to start writing again.
