Introduction to Transparent.AI
We have seen the recent fears, issues, and suggestions on how we can best help our authors fight against clients claiming an order sounds “off” or failed a random AI checker. At the same time, clients are now, more than ever, looking for concrete proof that an order they place is all human-generated content. To help both authors and clients with AI fears, we created Transparent.ai for our authors. With this tool, we hope to offer authors peace of mind knowing they can always have proof of the originality of their content in the case of an AI claim; simultaneously, this also will give clients the reassurance that orders are from the author's own work.
How it Works
This new tool will be used by authors as a word processor while writing their articles for Textbroker. In doing so, authors will create a certificate proving their work is original with nothing more than an extra click once you’re done by using the “Save and Create Certificates” button. All that is required of the author is typing their order in this program; however, please note you must TYPE your order. The tool will track your creation of an order, your typing and pasting, and what you delete, so pasting it all at the end will look as if you copied an entire article. You’ll be able to see your word count in the bottom right side of the textbox while you type as well. Once you finish and hit the button, you will have two certificates to pick from, limited and full.
Limited Certificate
The limited certificate will show statistics like when you started the piece, how many words/characters you typed in vs pasted, and what words you deleted. In this certificate, the exact text isn’t present and shows only an overview of what was written. As you can see from the quick example from us, it shows that we typed 108 words, deleted 10, and pasted 53. The final makeup of the article was 101 words of our own and 52 from the pasted section we grabbed off of our website.
Full Certificate:
Moving on, looking at the full certificate, it shows the same statics as the limited certificate, but now you can see the actual body of text, what we wrote, and what was pasted. This textbox provides us with valuable insight as to what might've been falsely flagged, such as a quote from an external source that the client included in the briefing. Without the text, it would be hard to prove that a 2000-word order has 300 words copied because it used quotes from the sources a client requested and wasn’t the result of plagiarism or AI generation.
Why?
This is a big change. For many of our authors, they have years of experience using their own process, whether it be using the in-site textbox, Google Docs, or Microsoft Word; now, we are introducing a new and different way for authors to create their orders that can directly aid in disproving AI claims. Using this tool will be the easiest way for authors to prove human-generated content when faced with an AI accusation. This was done for two main reasons: First, we hear how frustrating it is to spend hours on an order just to get an instant revision because some random AI checker said it was 23.41% from AI, and second, it allows clients and us to have a uniform, Textbroker-approved way to check articles for AI. It is much easier to work through an AI accusation when we all use the same tool instead of authors, clients, and Textbroker having personal and often different choices in what checkers to use.
Final Thoughts
The future of Textbroker and AI is still changing, and the content of this blog will change as our policies, tools, and practices do. If you ever have any questions, please feel free to contact us at authors@textbroker.com.
