A Promising Start to TESMUN- 2023

The 11th TES MUN started with a lavish opening ceremony hosted by Salina Gurung and Doma Gurung in the TES auditorium hall. The ceremony contained a plethora of events starting with the welcoming of guests followed by lamp lighting among other notable events and the speech of Secretary General (SECGEN) Tejaswi Pant.
“We don't win by letting others down, we win by rising together.” SECGEN Pant claimed passionately “In MUN we don't aspire to eliminate fear, we aspire to acknowledge it and strive forward!”
With her wonderful speech the audience was invigorated and proceeded in the program with unparalleled energy and enthusiasm. After her spectacular speech came the recitation of a poem specifically composed for the momentous occasion of TES MUN-2023, following the peaceful song came the speech of principal Mr.Prashant Rajak.
“I hold hopes on my dear students discussing real life problems, don't be dejected and always value yourself” said Mr. Prashant Rajak, the principal, motivating the delegates to attain new heights adding on, ”Life is what we make out of it not what is destined to happen.”
The audience was moved by the inspirational speech of the principal and were inspired to do better in the final session of their MUN. Then the audience was shown the video representing the legacy of TES MUN created from the hard work of the IT team shortly followed by the distribution of the badges to the respective heads of the committees as well as the gavels to the respective DIAS.
“Now we would like to call upon Mr. Govinda sir to distribute the badges to the respective committee heads” the two hosts requested “We would also like to call upon Mr. Prashant sir to distribute the gavels to the respective chairs of the committees.”
After the distribution the hosts called upon the SECGEN to give some parting words before the official inauguration of the 11th annual TES MUN.
“With no further delay, I the SECGEN Tejaswi Pant would like to officially declare the initiation of TES MUN 2023.” with that the SECGEN concluded her speech and the 11th annual MUN of The Excelsior School officially began.
The cheering of the audience was thunderous and with renewed determination and vigor the delegates made their way to their respective committees determined to make a change and bound to climb on the peak of success.
The 7 committees, 4 international and 3 national will now engage in an intense debate on the contemporary issues seen across the globe.
