"No matter what people tell you, words and ideas can change the world."- Robin Williams.
TES provides a forum for people to develop their debating abilities and views, which they will each use as their major motivating drive going forward. It promotes speaking up and voicing one's ideas about issues that are important in order to help the delegates comprehend the value of diplomacy and cooperation.
Experience helps delegates gain self-assurance and leadership abilities. I can still feel the fear and confusion from my first day of participating in MUN. I often doubted myself, but once I started talking and thinking, I was unable to stop. I felt proud since I made an important point with every word I spoke. And although I won't be a delegate this year, I will be in charge of heading a committee, and I swear to do it with all my heart.

MUN is an opportunity that is presented to us. This simulation of the United Nations gives us the opportunity to learn to speak, research and express ourselves. It is a new and fun experience for students who are growing up. As the vice chair of LP3, I understand that most of the students aren't familiar with MUN and might be nervous. Most people are nervous to speak publicly but if you can't even voice out your thoughts in a room with classmates you are familiar with it will be hard. There is no outsider when you are speaking as all of those who are listening are either in the same situation or have been in a similar situation.
In MUN you just speak based on researched facts, logics and common sense. It shows and helps improve debating capabilities, speaking capabilities, critical thinking and negotiation skills.
It helps improve knowledge about the current situation of the world and our country. It helps bring young leaders forward who will lead the next generation.
MUN is an opportunity presented in front of you which if you can capitalize the gains will be massive. Even if this MUN is not perfect you can still learn a lot from it that will help you in your studies as well
"Today is the opportunity to build the tomorrow you want."

MUN 2080 is a platform for young minds to learn the art of leadership and diplomacy. You all have a wonderful chance to increase your self-assurance. And keep in mind that a chance can completely transform your life if it is used appropriately. Thus, you must all gain confidence and express your views and opinions for improvement. I think that each of you possesses the capacity for leadership. It only needs to be accepted. You must all be prepared to argue and defend yourself, which calls for solid research and data. The core of MUN is research. It is what keeps a committee active. I'm wishing success to every delegate.
MUN was terrifying and stressful when I initially became a delegate in 2078, during the COVID pandemic. I was hesitant to speak up because I was unfamiliar with the MUN procedures. My eighth-grade self would never have guessed that two years later, I'd be composing this voice as the moderator of LP3. I was once in your shoes, and you can use my experience to encourage yourself to believe that you, too, can one day be a member of the Dais panel.
Good luck to all!
