Model United Nations is a platform for people to develop their skills and their ideologies through debate that each of them will adopt as a primary driving force to lead them into a successful and adept future. Hence, I am honored to serve as the chair of the Legislative Parliament-1 committee in 2023.

As members of the Legislative Committee representing the great leaders of our country, I expect good research to have been conducted thoroughly for understanding in the sessions. In LP, we address the major contemporary issues that are hindering our country’s growth, such as economic and social factors. As the chair of the committee, I aim to facilitate a fruitful resolution that reflects the consensus and cooperation of all delegates.

MUN, to me, is a platform for developing one’s voice and perspective. It allows for the free sharing of understanding and also promotes a formal setting. All these are skills that one must utilize in their future endeavors. As your chair, I want to listen to viewpoints, observe engaging arguments, and provide constructive feedback. I also want independence and confidence in the committee in order to create a dynamic and active debate for all to participate in.

In conclusion, I am grateful for the opportunity to guide you as the Chair of LP-1, and I would like to thank you all for your dedication and enthusiasm. I hope to provide you with facts and insights that will help you grow personally and professionally.

It's a pleasure to welcome you all to TESMUN 2023. MUN is a chance that should not be passed up since it provides all delegates with a platform that is very significant to them. MUN also serves as a forum for debate, where participants come to an agreement on the best course of action.

Although Nepal has great potential and the capacity to develop, it is still regarded as a developing country. MUN is required to address the issue and move forward with a suitable solution. You are all expected to consider your choices for battling corruption and eradicating it from both the public and private sectors as members of the legislative arm of the government.

It will be you, the delegates, who will speak on behalf of the decision-makers in our nation. Possibly, this will assist you in assuming leadership roles in the future and guiding our nation to new heights.

Delegates, we will support you as you do your research. Please feel free to speak with the Dais panel if any of the delegates have any questions concerning the session or the topics being discussed. To all of my delegates, I wish you well! I sincerely hope you enjoy yourselves and bring a tumultuous experience home with you.
