“Engagement creates interest. Exploration leads to a new world of knowledge. Expression helps to build confidence. The elaboration helps you connect the old and new knowledge firmly and put the ideas into practice. Self-examination helps to reconfirm and verify the ideas.”

Dear all,

It is my immense pleasure to welcome you to The Excelsior School website. This website is a special place where we update you with our philosophy, methods, values, policies, procedures, and the latest school events. Today I feel really happy to announce that our young students from grades seven to ten are totally engaged in simulating the United Nations conferences and National Parliament bringing pressing issues of the time. We bring this session so as to sharpen the students’ public speaking, researching, reading, and writing skills. Their involvement brings them a better understanding of diplomatic negotiation, conflict resolution, and the peace-building process across the world. Once, they are in the chamber arguing and putting forth their ideas, they strive to create a better understanding of the world around them. They become aware of the problems they could see and remain focused on the solution.

As the human have increased their pace with newer inventions, social changes, and technological advancement have also accelerated. Therefore, to adjust ourselves in the 21st century, we need to develop a keen understanding of technological advancement and a sharp ethical judgment. The larger the space of technology in its capacity and dimension, the higher the risk it poses. If we fail to handle it with a higher moral and ethical sense, the more massive the destruction can be. Therefore, we not only equip our young students with higher technological know-how but also with a higher moral and ethical understanding to create a just and amicable world where every individual will have a space to foster their capabilities.

The MUN Sessions have also proved to be instrumental in enhancing our core values and aligning our activities with our vision. This brings all the students to cooperate, collaborate, discuss, debate, negotiate and resolve differences. These are important life skills. Following our core pedagogical pattern, the MUN Session has provided opportunities to engage, explore, and express themselves by elaborating their ideas. Their engagement in the process also provides opportunities to evaluate one’s own ideas and actions along with others’ ideas leading them to develop a clear judgment. For all these, I would like to express my best wishes to my students to lead this program successfully.
