Nonfiction Biblio-Media-Therapy for Consumers & Creatives

The overarching goal of this resource guide is to provide creative biblio-media-therapy to teens and young adults through non-fiction/informational resources. The guide includes several categories, which emerged during the compilation of process resources from age-relevant non-fiction outlets. The categories include: Non-Fiction Literature Resources, Creative Writing Resources, and Non-Fiction Media Resources.

The resources listed under Creative Writing are meant to teach young people how to use the written word to express themselves, and, also, highlight examples of others who have done so in the past. The resources listed under Non-Fiction Literature and Media are a diverse selection of books, podcasts, websites, and other media. It should be noted that the final section of this guide, “More Non-Fiction Literature & Resources,” includes resources that teens can turn to for media related to fitness and mindfulness. Ultimately, this non-fiction media list has a therapeutic focus and includes key informational resources for youth to grow as individuals.
