Activities that get the brain and/or body working
Revamp and Repair- Take time to catalog minor home improvement and decoration projects. Can you do it with minimal materials, perhaps something found around the house.
Create new storage from coffee canisters, tin cans, and glass jars
Paint your room
Card Games- put your mind to work with solo card games you already know or learn some new ones. See if you can borrow a library book to learn all about them.
Hopscotch- try this classic DIY game for some easy jumping exercise
Get outside and exercise- while you can go for a run or bike ride there are also other ways to work your body in the outdoors.
Weed or start a garden
Clean up garbage while walking around
Create and run an obstacle course in your back yard
Spend time with your pet- pets like to be active and joining them can add a greater degree of fun.
Teach your pet a new trick
Play "find the treat"- hide treats for your pet and see how long it takes for them to find all the treats. Increase the difficulty by hiding it inside an object they'll have to work at to get the treat out of.
Hide and Seek- hide from your dog and once hidden call them. When they find you do a little dance and praise your pet. You'll see just how smart your pet really is.
Train your pet to go on walks. Training a pet to wear a harness or walk with a leash can take some time, but if you have the time the experience can be very fun.
