World and American Records at USATF Championships

I World record and 2 other American records were set at the 2019 USATF track and field Championships

this is the selectoon meet for this years world Championships in Doha in September.....

Running on a rain-soaked track, Olympic champion Dalilah Muhammad broke the16 year old world record of 52.34 set by Yulia Pechonkina

Last years world best time leader Sydney McLauglin, finished second in a season’s best of 52.88, and Ashley Spencer was third in a PR of 53.11 to make the World Championship team for Doha. Shamere Little who had the fastest time in the world this year coming into this meet ened up 4th.

Reigning world champion Kori Cater, had earn a buy, completes the US team for Worlds.

DeAnna Price broke her own American hammer throw record on her fjnal throw of the day with a 78.24/256-8 Price, who set the previous AR at last year’s Championships here, hit 77.51/254-3 in round two, which at the time was the fourth-farthest throw ever by an American. With four women throwing beyond 75 meters, the competition was one of the deepest in world history, surpassed only by the 2012 Olympic final. Gwen Berry was 2nd 76.48 Brooke Anderson 3rd 75.30
