Locals at USA Championships

EUGENE, Ore. – Less than two weeks removed from the Women of Oregon's thrilling outdoor national title and completion of the historic Triple Crown, the Oregon track and field team is right back in competition mode as 24 athletes travel to Sacramento, Calif., for the U.S Outdoor Track and Field Championships and the U.S. Junior Championships.

Twenty Ducks will be competing in the senior meet at Hornet Stadium, while four others will be in action in the junior meet. Both begin on Thursday, with the junior meet running through Saturday and the senior meet going until Sunday.

The 20 Ducks competing in the U.S. Outdoor Track and Field Championships will once again embrace the team's 'Tougher Together' mantra as they attempt to secure spots on the U.S. team for the World Outdoor Championships that will take place in London this August. The junior athletes will be vying for a spot on Team USA for the Pan American Championships, which will run July 21-23 in Trujillo, Peru.
