Analysis
In my paper, I explored how library patrons such as faculty, staff, and students find information and use course reserves. I emphasized the importance of understanding their needs and behaviors to improve library services and access to materials.
By reviewing existing literature on information-seeking, library marketing, and user experiences, I analyzed how patrons' knowledge affects their use of course reserves. This research highlighted the critical role that knowing our users plays in enhancing their overall experience in the library.
Reflection
I included this paper because it directly addresses key learning objectives about information needs, seeking, and usage. I appreciate how it explores major theories while considering diverse needs and cultural influences. By applying these theories to real-life examples and observing actual behaviors, I found that the paper offers practical insights that can genuinely help improve library services. This connection between theory and practice has really deepened my understanding of how to better serve our library patrons.
