SECU Scholarship

2023 SECU Foundation $10,000 Scholarship Flier - Copy.pdf

This scholarship is a total of $10,000 that is distributed over 4 years at 1 of the 16 UNC System Universities. Applicants must plan to enroll at one of these schools in the fall following their senior year. There is a minimum unweighted GPA requirement of a 2.5.

To be eligible, the student or their parent must be a member of the State Employees' Credit Union. If neither are members of SECU, you must be by the time the application is due.

The Process:

1. Application will be live from Tuesday, January 10th, 2023 to Friday, February 10th, 2023(CLOSES MIDNIGHT)

2. Applicants will need to complete a Word Document Application AND Member Verification form and submit it to the Google form found on this page

3. Applicants will be chosen for Interviews in late February.

4. Two applicants will be chosen: 1 Nominee and 1 Alternate

5. Nominees will then finalize their application (consent form, short bio, etc.) and send it off to the county level for final consideration.
