Transfer Pathways:
"The UNC System and the NC Community College System have worked together to encourage more students to transfer into the University after completing their studies at the community college level. To this same end, individual UNC System institutions have also established unique partnerships with nearby community colleges".
"The Comprehensive Articulation Agreement (CAA) is a statewide agreement governing the transfer of credits between NC community colleges and the UNC System. The transfer course list explains which NC community college courses will be eligible to count as credits at all 16 universities in the UNC System". If your plan is to transfer to a 4-year university after receiving an associate's degree you will want to make sure that your credits at the community college are transferable and that you are in a "college transfer" pathway.
Several UNC System colleges partner with various NC community colleges to offer transfer programs that guarantee acceptance into the 4-year university. She the slideshow below. A list of those offered at JCC is also embedded below. I encourage you to explore similar programs at other community colleges.
