The spreadsheet below lists scholarships by school year. This is a working list that gets updated as I recieve more scholarship opportunities. It's currently updated to July 2023! I also suggest that you look at the tab for useful search engines that will help you with your scholarship search efforts. CFNC, NC Community Foundation, and FastWeb are great scholarship databases!
*The scholarship search engine tab also has links for students that identify with certain demographic/minority groups (undocumented students, Hispanic/Latinx students, Black/African American students, etc.)
School-Specific Scholarships: Many colleges/universities have scholarship applications and portals that are specific to applicants of that school. Most colleges will encourage you to apply early (before December) to be eligible to for consideration for these school-specific scholarships. Be sure to take part in these scholarship applications as part of your college application process!
Examples: NinerScholars (UNC Charlotte), ECUAward (ECU), Pack ASSIST (NC State), Blue & Gold Scholarships (UNCG), Signature Scholarships (App State)
SSS holds 3 formal scholarship nomination processes during the academic year. Find out more information here.
There are also many competitive national scholarships offered annually. Two of them are explained in detail here. These are geared towards high-achieving, low-income students.
Lastly, there are many scholarship opportunities for DACA and undocumented students. Explore those opportunities here.
