Privacy Policy for My Period Calendar
1. Introduction This Privacy Policy applies to the "My Period Calendar" mobile application. We built this app with a privacy-first approach because we believe your health and cycle data belongs solely to you and should remain entirely under your control.
2. Health Data Collection and Local Storage We do not collect, transmit, store, or process any of your personal health data on external servers. All information you enter into the app—including cycle dates, symptoms, moods, temperature, notes, and other personal health logs—is stored securely and exclusively in the local storage of your own device. We have no access to your health records.
3. Third-Party Advertising (Google AdMob) To keep this application free, My Period Calendar displays third-party full-screen (interstitial) advertisements provided by Google AdMob.
Data Collected by AdMob: Google AdMob may automatically collect and process certain non-health technical information, such as your device's Advertising ID (e.g., Google AAID), IP address, device hardware model, operating system version, and ad interaction metrics.
Strict Health Data Isolation: Your personal cycle tracking data, health logs, and symptoms are never shared with Google AdMob, nor are they ever used to personalize or target advertisements.
Ad Functionality: Technical data processed by AdMob is used strictly for serving interstitial ads, preventing fraud, managing ad frequency limits, and measuring ad performance.
4. Network Access The application requests internet access solely for fetching interstitial advertisement content from Google AdMob. No health or tracking data is ever transmitted over this network connection.
5. Backups and Exports You have the option to create an encrypted backup of your data or export it as a plain JSON file or printable PDF. These files are generated locally on your device and are managed entirely by you. We do not automatically upload or sync these backups to any cloud service.
6. Data Security To protect your local data, the app offers an optional PIN lock with encryption at rest. We strongly recommend using your device's built-in security features (such as a lock screen passcode or biometric authentication) to further secure your device.
7. Managing Ad Preferences You can control or opt out of personalized advertising at any time through your device settings:
Android: Navigate to Settings > Google > Ads to reset your Advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads.
iOS: Navigate to Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking to manage app tracking permissions.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in app functionality or legal requirements. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this policy.
