Overview
Used to help find location of downed FF
Uses hand held receiver and PAK-Alert transmitter signals to identify specific FF/SCBA ID
On E52 and E56
975 ft line of sight capacity. Changes with interference
Low battery at 20% of capacity, Still 45 minutes of battery remain
Mounts in charger. No spare batteries
Display
LCD screen shows ID from downed FF
Number display shows strength of power in 0-99 scale ie. Closer to the victim the higher the number will get
Lighted bar also shows strength of power. Works after numbers reach 50
Use SCROLL and ENTER buttons to navigate menu and turn on/off unit
Operation
Hold about waist height
Slowly sweep horizontally until number display shows a number
Work in the direction of the strongest signal
If in multi-story building, sweep vertically also
Signal will pass through glass, wood, openings
Signal will reflect off metal, concrete, and brick
Signal will be absorbed by the human body so let the person with the PAK- Tracker be in front!
