Scott Pak-Tracker

Overview

  • Used to help find location of downed FF

  • Uses hand held receiver and PAK-Alert transmitter signals to identify specific FF/SCBA ID

  • On E52 and E56

  • 975 ft line of sight capacity. Changes with interference

  • Low battery at 20% of capacity, Still 45 minutes of battery remain

  • Mounts in charger. No spare batteries




Display

  • LCD screen shows ID from downed FF

  • Number display shows strength of power in 0-99 scale ie. Closer to the victim the higher the number will get

  • Lighted bar also shows strength of power. Works after numbers reach 50

  • Use SCROLL and ENTER buttons to navigate menu and turn on/off unit


Operation

  • Hold about waist height

  • Slowly sweep horizontally until number display shows a number

  • Work in the direction of the strongest signal

  • If in multi-story building, sweep vertically also

  • Signal will pass through glass, wood, openings

  • Signal will reflect off metal, concrete, and brick

  • Signal will be absorbed by the human body so let the person with the PAK- Tracker be in front!

  • USE COMMON SENSE!!!
