HOW TO DEPLOY A QUICK ATTACK MONITOR


  1. Pull required amount of working line

a. Shoulder load

b. Rear 150’ 2 ½” pre connect

c. 50’ callout

i. Advance towards fire

  1. Advise engineer – length, location, GPM

  1. Advance working line to objective

a. Remove nozzle from working line

  1. Place Quick Attack monitor

a. At desired location

b. Avoiding debris, mud and foot traffic

c. Unfold legs

d. Unwrap anchor strap

5. Secure Quick Attack monitor to the working line with safety strap (2 options)

Option 1

a. Pull extra 50 feet for loop in front of monitor and loop hose in front of monitor

b. Place first coupling in front of monitor

c. Connect hose line to the monitor

d. Minimum of 10 feet straight behind the monitor

Option 2

a. Connect working line inline (no loop)

b. Secure the safety strap to a secured object

c. Minimum of 10 feet straight behind the monitor

6. Steady monitor

a. Without placing body over the top of the appliance


7. Confirm monitor valve is closed

8. Signal for water

a. Verbal, hand signal, or by radio

9. Open Quick Attack monitor valve

10. Adjust direction of water flow

a. Slow, deliberate manner

**Maximum of 300” of working line when flowing 500 GPM**
