Help conduct a BioBlitz

Work with CSU Spur to conduct annual BioBlitzes (rapid biological inventories) along the river and identify other river-related community science activities and events focused on the South Platte River corridor. 

After participating in this activity, you should be able to...

• Help scientists conduct a rapid biological inventory along the river, by working with them to identify plants, insects, and other components of the ecosystems there.

• Help train other youth to participate in a BbioBblitz.

• Understand the importance of urban ecosystems and roles that community and development can play in tracking and maintaining ecosystem health.

• Communicate how biological communities relate to a One Water approach.
