I hiked this morning at Palo Duro Canyon State Park, just south of Amarillo. With the size of 120 miles x 20 miles x 1,000ft depth, it is the second largest canyon in the US; hence, the nickname "the Grand Canyon of Texas" I didn't know about it until someone at the hotel mentioned it to me. It's huge and beatiful. I took the park's signature trail (Lighthouse Trail), 7 miles out and back. The first 2.5 miles were flat and easy but the last section was very steep rock scrambling. It was fun. I have a panorama video from the top.

In the evening, I went to a baseball game. Amarillo Sod Poodles (the Double-A affiliate of Arizona Diamondbacks) played against Wichita Wind Surge (the affiliate of Minnesota Twins). Beautiful stadium. Cute mascot. Good food. I had a pulled pork burrito bowl. Behind the home plate is a reserved section with tables and chairs. Very nice for friends and family get-together.
