We left St. Louis Park early in the morning, drove through country roads of Minnesota, crossed the state line to South Dakota, and arrived in Badlands NP. It was raining and thunder. We spent a night in Interior, just south of the park boundary.
The next morning we explored Badlands, then drove to Mt. Rushmore. The weather was better then.
The next morning we drove beautiful country roads in Wyoming to Devil's Tower. At night, we went to the light up show at Mt. Rushmore.
