On the 24th September, Captain Graham was joined by 16 Lions.
Although the weather looked iffy we managed a dry round, Geoff was runner up with 30 pts, but the bandit from Haydock Park took 1st prize with 35 pts!
The team prize was won by Brian Geoff, Timmy and Alan,
Although Graham didn't play it was the first time we witnessed his brother, David Bailey snapping at the wildlife on the course and in the clubhouse,
The day was rounded off by a superb meal of babbies yed * and chips, followed by cheesecake A good day was had by all!
* You might be looking at this wondering what on earth is that?. No it’s not a typo and yes it is food. A babby's yed can be found in most local chip shops, particularly in Lancashire and Greater Manchester. It’s a steak and kidney pudding to other folk, but that doesn’t have the same ring to it. For some reason, babby's yed just sounds more proper!
