The 5th lions tour event was at Prenton where the hosting captain Steve welcomed 19 Captains which included our Captain of Captains, John Morris in his last Lions tour event before completing his year on 6th June.  A big thank you to John for his frienship and his gentle advice and guidance.

We were very fortunate with the weather as the morning was very wet but it managed to clear for the afternoon.   

The format for the day was the best 2 from 4 Stableford points and the winners with a score of 89 were Graham Swaby, Tim Taylor, Mark Bardsley and John Morris (who kindly donated his prize to the Lions).   

There were also 2 nearest the pin prizes won by Roger Halson on the 3rd and the nearest pin in two on the 18th where the second shot by Steve Tremarco (Kingy) skipped just 6 inches past the flag!!   

The course was presented in tough but great condition and the post golf food was enjoyed by everyone thanks to Panache Catering.

Well done to all and on to the next event at Dean Wood.
