A paper by Luís Crisóstomo et al. entitled "Testicular “inherited metabolic memory” of ancestral high-fat diet is associated with sperm sncRNA content" has just been published in the "Biomedicines" journal. In this paper the authors identify differently expressed small non-coding RNA sequences in sperm of mice fed with control or high-fat diet, and in their progeny. The results suggest a role of sperm RNAs in the epigenetic inheritance of ancestral exposure to high-fat diets. Congratulations!
