Luís Crisóstomo completed his LSc degree on Biomedical Sciences in 2011. In July of 2013 he finished his MSc Degree on Biomedical Sciences at the University of Beira Interior, Covilhã, Portugal. From 2014 to 2016, he worked as a Software Engineer at Accenture Technological Solutions, in Lisbon, Portugal. He joined the Sertoli Cell and Gamete Biology group in September 2016, to work on a research project in the role of glycerol and its metabolism in the testicular cells, particularly in Sertoli cells, under supervision of Pedro F. Oliveira. Soon after, in 2017, he enrolled the PhD programme on Biomedical Sciences, at the Biomedical Sciences Institute of Abel Salazar, University of Porto, Porto, Portugal (ICBAS-UP), under supervision of Marco G. Alves. His research interests are in the metabolic and epigenetic mechanisms underlying paternally induced transgenerational effects of high-fat diets in male fertility and metabolic health.
