Zhasybai Batyr Amirali - legendary Kazakh Batyr, a defender of the Motherland who fought against the Jungars. Descended from the clan of the Argyn tribe - balentien. Born in Bayanaul (Pavlodar region). In the family tree, he is called "olzhabay's nephew". There were two brothers, the younger brother of the famous Batyr Binary – heroically fought against the Jungars.
In the late 30s and early 40s of the XVIII century, Kazakh troops led by Batyr Zhasybay drove the Dzungars from the Bayanaul mountains. Zhasybai Batyr himself is killed by an arrow of the Dzungarian war. The hour of retribution for the death of Zhasybai came in the town of "Seriktas" near the modern village of Akshiman, where the Kazakh militia led by Olzhabay Batyr inflicted a crushing defeat on the enemy detachment. This area was later named "Kalmak kyrgan" - the place of extermination of Kalmyks. On the shores of lake Sayings body Zhasybai Batyr was buried. By the decision of the people, this lake was renamed Zhasybay.
The grave of Zhasybay Batyr is a stone mound. In 2005, the descendants of Batyr installed a tombstone on this place. Its upper part is a bust of a Batyr, and the inscription is embossed at the bottom: "Zhasybai Batyr. XVIII century" and several wise sayings of the distant past. The monument is made of black marble.
Testimonies about the bravery of Batyr Zhasybay, about his courage and generalship talent still live in the people's memory. These are the heroes who managed to preserve the Kazakh lands. Zhasybay Batyr fought for his native land and died defending his people. For this heroism, the people honor and remember him and the place of burial of the Batyr is considered sacred.
