KYKD, a part of Voice for Christ Ministries, is a Christian radio station broadcasting to the community of Bethel, Alaska, and about a dozen surrounding Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta villages. KYKD also provides the programming for a total of ten translator and low-power FM stations serving villages from as far south as Togiak on the shore of Bristol Bay to as far north as Kotzebue, north of the Arctic Circle.  The programming and format of the stations are oriented to the major cultures of Western Alaska, that of the Yup'ik and the Inupiat peoples, who have inhabited the region for thousands of years.  It is the desire of this ministry that KYKD would effectively bring the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all people within this vast listening area, as well as encourage and equip Christ-following listeners in their walk of faith, thereby bringing glory to God and advancing His kingdom.
