KICY broadcasts from Nome, Alaska and is owned by Arctic Broadcasting Association, which is a 501(c)3 non-profit, affiliated corporation of the Evangelical Covenant Church. KICY serves native Alaskan villages throughout the Seward Peninsula, Yukon & Kuskokwim Deltas and the Russian regions of Chukotka, Kamchatka and Siberia. They rely on donations, and their staff is comprised of full-time and part-time volunteers.
Since 1960 KICY has continued to broadcast the good news of Jesus Christ throughout Western Alaska and the Russian Far East, sending the gospel into some places where other forms of media are not readily available. They operate two distinct radio stations, KICY AM-850 which is heard throughout the region, and KICY 100.3 FM which serves the City of Nome and surrounding communities.
