OVERVIEW
Rogues, Loners and Kittypets are cats that are not affiliated with a specific group, such as the Clans or Fjell'Byr, and thus do not follow the same organization structure or code. However, they may make up their own groups such as the Cult, or the slow-dissolving Pack, following their group's established codes and customs. Alternatively, there are cats who choose to be entirely independent of any group, code, or lifestyle, living as the true masters of their own destiny.
Also known as strays, rogue cats are typically hostile and aggressive towards others. They do not respect Clan life, borders, nor the warrior code, and will act opportunistically by stealing prey and causing mayhem. They have no set territory, but may have a designated home in which they return to often. Loners on the other hand are solitary cats who do not align themselves with the hostilities displayed by rogues. They are otherwise passive towards the clans and may gather in smaller knit communities. They tend to avoid conflict and problems. Rogues and loners can have once belonged to a clan or byr and have since left willingly or through exile. Both rogues and loners are not taken care of by twolegs (humans) and instead know how to hunt for themselves and fight.
Sometimes the terms Rogue and Loner are used interchangeably.
Kittypets, also known as pets, are domesticated cats that are taken care of and pampered by twolegs. They are fed dry kibble or wet food and seldom eat fresh kill. Kittypets are often soft-muscled and not knowledgeable in the skills of fighting or hunting -- though some exceptions may apply -- and aren't too familiar with clan life. Kittypets will often wear some sort of identification, such as a collar with a tag, given to them by their twolegs. After a certain age, most kittypets are taken to the veterinarian to be spayed or neutered, rendering them of producing offspring.
The soft life of a kittypet is rejected by warriors. Clan cats often look down on kittypets for their lack of knowledge in living wild, and having to depend on Twolegs to survive.
The Cult
The cult are a group of makeshift former kittypets, rogues, or loners, that make their home within the Twoleg City. They pledge their allegiance to the Lord of the Graves, praying to the ancient creatures known as Stone Serpents, who still rumble underpaw today. Not much is known about how the Cult works generally speaking, their social heirarchy a mystery except those who are within the coven themselves. To learn more about the Cult, please click here! The Cult is CLOSED for character creation!
Permanent Residency
Kittypets, rogues, and loners must have a "permanent residency": it is their "home base", where they nest, and where they settle down to live! Note that despite where they may settle, they will have access to traverse the entire world map, and interact with all feline populations.
Rogues and loners may settle in Twoleg-populated or non Twoleg-populated areas. Kittypets must pick a Twoleg-populated area as their permanent residency. The following are available permanent residencies to choose from:
The Twoleg City: Located to the north of the Clans, it is far away from the Clan territories. Defined by its twoleg-made jagged structures on the horizon, rogues, loners, and kittypets may choose to settle here.
ShadeClan's territory: located to the east of the Clans, rogues and loners only may choose to settle here. It is long abandoned by both Twolegs and ShadeClan, making this a more secluded place to settle.
Southern Pine Forest: located to the south of the Clans, rogues and loners only may choose to settle here. This is the farthest that cats outside of the Clans may settle as their permanent residency.
Western Pine Forest: located to the west of the Clans, rogues and loners only may choose to settle here. It is a thick forest in which Twolegs commonly hunt, making Twoleg interactions potentially dangerous. As a result, it is a more secluded place to settle.
Western Farm: neighbor to ValleyClan, rogues, loners, and kittypets may choose to settle here. There are several different animals, crops, and other produce Twolegs tend to and work daily. Several twolegs live in twolegplaces scattered across the farm.
Twoleg Trailers: beyond the Twoleg farm and Western Pine Forest is the Twoleg trailers, in which rogues, loners, and kittypets may settle. It is active with Twoleg activity, from twoleg families, pets, and outside activities, to travelers, visitors, and more.
