All roleplayers start off with two free active character slots: if you wish to have more than two active characters at a time, additional active character slots must be purchased via the official discord server’s shop. Eight character slots are permitted without moderator approval prior, any subsequent purchase of slots will require proof of activity for all current characters and approval from the mod team. Please see our official shop in the official discord server for more information!
All roleplayers will start off with a balance of 0 points, the group’s in-game currency. You cannot earn in-game currency in any fashion until you are an official member of the roleplay. SPECIALTY AND HIGH RANKS TRYOUTS
Certain ranks in our feline populations require a tryout in order to have a character with a specific rank. This applies to both specialty ranks (i.e counselors in WoodClan, guardians and sentinels in ValleyClan, sentries in RockClan, and rangers in StreamClan), and high ranks (i.e. authoritarian figures for our feline populations, such as the Clan's leaders, healers, and deputies). Tryouts for specialty ranks are open automatically, if there is a slot open at the time on the RotC roster. Tryouts for high ranks are announced and hosted by the mod team, with specific deadlines. The roster will show what high ranks are open for tryout, on the "group openings" tab! To check if a specialty rank is open, check the specific clan's roster, and see if there are any open slots. Every Clan has a maximum of five specialty ranks at a time.
QUALIFICATIONS
To be able to try out for a specialty or high rank, you must be a member of this roleplay for at least 2 weeks. After this, you are welcome to try out!
Roleplayers are allowed to have a maximum of two specialty ranks at a time, in different Clans. Roleplayers may have a maximum of two high ranks in the Clans at a time, in different Clans and different ranks. For example, you could not have two healers or two deputies, but you could have a leader in one Clan, and a healer in another. Roleplayers may hold a maximum of two high ranks in Fjell'Byr. Roleplayers can also have two specialty ranks and two high ranks at a time.
Selection for specialty or high ranks should never be taken personally! There are multiple factors that are considered, none of them being the person themselves and who they are. In fact, the mod team takes notice of those with repeated interest and multiple tryouts. Please do not be discouraged!
SPECIALTY RANKS TRYOUTS
Specialty ranks require characters to already be submitted and accepted into canon as warriors of their Clan. Once the character is accepted into the group:
1. Open a ticket with the moderator team in the OOC server with the following form:
Character Name:
Link to Biography:
Rank Applying for:
Why your character is fit for the particular specialty rank:
2. The moderator team will review, and either approve or deny the submission. You will always be welcome to try out again for a specialty rank if denied at any time!
3. When approved, submit your character for updates like you would any other rank up!
HIGH RANKS TRYOUTS
High ranks tryouts can be made with already existing characters, or entirely new characters pending submission. If you would like to try out with a new character, however: you must have an open character slot at the time, and the visual application and written bio must both be filled out entirely and ready for submission. Please also be sure that the design would be accepted prior!
When the moderator team opens a high rank for tryouts:
1. Open a ticket with the moderator team in the OOC server with the following form:
Character Name:
Link to Biography:
Backstory: [Provide a backstory to how your character came to be their rank! What made them want to be this rank? Why are they the right cat for the job? The more detail, thought, and creativity put into your backstory, the better your chances! Please try to keep it realistic. We put emphasis on quality over quantity.]
Roleplay sample: [provide a sample of your writing for warrior cats related material here!]
2. When tryouts close, the moderator team will let you know the final decision.
3. When approved, submit your character for updates like you would any other rank up! Whenever appropriate, the moderator team is more than happy to host an IC roleplay event to reflect this rank change at request. Let us know, we'd love to help!
