Intimate Relationships
All intimate relationships in Rise of the Clans must be appropriate: warriors-aged characters (i.e. starting at 12 moons) may only be in relationships with other adult-aged characters. The age gap in the relationship must be appropriate relative to the characters’ ages, and their stages in life. Apprentice-aged characters (i.e. 6-12 moons) may have crushes, but may not enter any formal relationships until they are warriors. Kit-aged characters (i.e. 0-6 moons) may never have any sort of romance-related plots: they are far too young.
Forbidden Relationships
If you’d like to have anything forbidden relationship related with your active character whatsoever, please reach out to the mod team to discuss via ticket prior. Thank you!
Non-Clan Character Relationships
Intimate relationships for characters outside of the Clans must be appropriate in all regards just like between Clan characters (i.e. the age gap, their stage in life, etc.)
Non-Clan characters the ages between 0-6 moons are too young for relationship considerations whatsoever. Non-Clan characters 6-12 moons may develop juvenile crushes on one another, but may not take on any mates. Non-Clan cats may take on mates starting at 12 moons old. This relationship should be appropriate.
Non-Clan and Clan Character Relationships: Clan characters who wish to enter formal relationships with Non-Clan cats are considered forbidden by the warrior code: discussion with the moderator team and approval is required before implementing this plot.
Kit Litters
Rise of the Clans allows for couples of any kind to have biological kits. This includes opposite sex couples, same sex couples, polyamorous throuples, etc. In canon, cats may consider this a gift from StarClan, just how things work, etc. You are also welcome to find a surrogate, adopt, etc. as you wish! We allow for all options of litters to be explored in order to allow for as much inclusivity as possible.
Litter sizes are limited to 5 kits maximum, but may have any number within that margin.
Once a cat is an elder, and/or turns 120 moons, they will no longer be able to have a litter with any other cat.
A couple may only have two litters without moderator approval. Third+ litters will require moderator approval, and may require a purchase.
One cat may have more than two litters without approval if it is with multiple cats. For example, Darkcat may have two litters with Edgelord, and have a third with Monsoonbenevolence. However, Darkcat and Edgelord could not have a third litter together without moderator approval.
We consider a couple to be the two cats involved in the procreation. If you choose to have a polyamorous relationship all be the biological parents, this would count toward any litters between any two of them as well.
If you have questions regarding how we count litters and couples, feel free to reach out via a note to the group, or a ticket in our Discord.
Kit litters must be submitted via the form in our #character_adoptions channel and approved by moderators, for OOC organization purposes: several reasons include to record the date of their implementation into IC canon, to include them in our Clan counts, our available adopts, etc. If the litter is one of the first two between a couple and is 5 or less kits, it will be approved without any additional requirements.
Character Adoptions
The process to submit an official group adopt can be found in the official OOC discord server, within the “character maintenance” category, as a pinned message.
Feel free to check out our #character_adoptions channel in our Discord, or our Available Adopts Register for any open adopts!
Members are allowed to make shop purchases for character adoptables, provided that they make the purchase prior to listing the adopt, and specify in their adoption listing that this purchase has been made. If the purchase requires mod approval, please reach out prior via the ticket system for review and approval.
Characters officially accepted as adopts (either via being accepted into our gallery, or being posted in our character adoption channel) are automatically counted into our Clan count, and are considered “reserved” active characters. This will automatically reserve their name in our system, so that incoming characters cannot have the same prefix/name.
Characters that have been adopted/won via tryouts must be listed in #character_adoptions or in the description of the adopt’s deviation with an @ of the person who has claimed/won them. This must be posted by the person/people who initially hosted the adopt/tryout. This must be done prior to these adopts being submitted and accepted into the group as player characters.
