Members are allowed to leave Rise of the Clans at their own discretion, at any time, for any reason. The moderator team completely understands and respects any and all reasoning willingly provided, and will never require a full explanation to why someone wishes to leave.
When leaving, the moderator team will inquire if you’d like to:
Retcon your character(s)’ existence entirely from the roleplay
Adopt out your character(s), and the specific parameters that will entail
NPC your characters, to be considered group-official NPCs. If this route is taken, your characters may be mentioned in official group-wide roleplay events. Please also specify if permission is given to majorly injure / kill off these characters in canon: we will not otherwise majorly injure your characters without your explicit permission.
Kill off your characters in some fashion
The moderator team would like to stress here that no matter when you leave or what happens as a result, you, the roleplayer, will always retain the rights to your artwork and character designs, as well as non-specific Rise of the Clans lore.
The moderator team, in turn, reserves the rights to implement retcons as necessary to preserve canon integrity and continuity of the Rise of the Clans-specific groupwide plot, as well as the canon of remaining active characters. Depending on what you choose to do and how we are contacted about you leaving, the moderator team may replace your active character with a different moderator-made NPC, to preserve the in-character decisions you previously made with your character. Small adjustments and tweaks to these decisions will be made accordingly to preserve groupwide canon. Rise of the Clans as a group owns all rights to group-specific lore, group-specific storylines, and group-specific canon published, allowing the moderator team to replace any character at any time with an NPC retcon.
If you are banned for conduct-related reasons, the moderator team will perform retcons to preserve the group’s canon as necessary. This may involve actions such as replacing your previous active characters with new moderator-made NPC characters as necessary, or completely retconning the character and decisions made from the roleplay’s canon. You will still retain the rights to the artwork and character designs introduced during your time in this roleplay, but you will not be permitted to use any of Rise of the Clans’ specific IP from that point onwards.
If you are removed from the group for activity-related reasons, you will always be permitted to rejoin once more, following our instructions on how to join this roleplay.
