A judge is an adult who listens to a debate or individual event speech, taking notes and evaluating the round and each of its competitors. The ultimate decision of the round is up to the judge. RHS is always looking for people to join us at competitions to judge rounds. We are required to bring a certain number of judges depending on our number of student entries. You would not be judging Reynolds students but students from other schools. This is a great way to serve the Speech & Debate community and high school students in general by providing constructive feedback to help them improve for future rounds. If you are interested in being trained as a judge, contact the coach (vschiller@rsd7.net). Try it out!
Please see the tab 'Events' (above) for information on the rounds you would be judging.
