Members of the team are expected to:
commit to attending at least 50% of all meetings and activities, including at least one of the two practices held each week (exception: if you are an athlete, talk to the coach to work out a schedule that works!)
observe or compete in at least one competition per semester (PUDL and OSAA)
compete in at least one form of debate and/or speech event
write one brief per month to contribute to the team file
To become a competitive or championship-level speaker and debater, students should strive to go above and beyond these expectations. Success requires putting in work both during and after practices to be prepared for a round. More competitions mean more experience, more skill, and more wins in the long run.
