FUNDRAISERS:
Fundraisers for this school year include hosting the following events: an Open Mic Night, the Ryan Rutledge Invitational, and Community Showcase & Fundraiser Night.
OPEN MIC NIGHT
Inspired by other metro-area debate programs, the Executive Team is planning our first Open Mic Night, likely held in early October. Members of the team fundraising for an overnight tournament will speak at an Open Mic. There will be snacks and beverages to enjoy.
Information will be updated soon.
REYNOLDS COMMUNITY SHOWCASE & FUNDRAISER NIGHT -- MARCH 4th, 2025
Inspired by other metro-area debate programs, we share what we do with the larger Reynolds community which includes students, families, school leadership, and other stakeholders around the community. The community is invited to come to the high school one evening for the event. People will be encouraged to donate to support our team. Students will have individual speech events and debates prepared to show off to the audience in different classrooms. In the background, the event will include pizza and a bake sale, the proceeds of which would go to the team. For those who donate money, the evening will culminate in a raffle of different baskets of items donated by local East County businesses.
This year's Showcase Night invitation is below:

SPECTATORS:
Any Reynolds student, parent, or staff member who would like to observe a competition is welcome! You could even talk to the coach about becoming a judge for us in the future. We would also love to get district and school leadership involved with competitions. Tournaments thrive on a gallery of spectators, as students gain the experience of speaking in front of a full audience. If you have any questions or want to learn how to become involved with our competitions, contact the coach (vschiller@rsd7.net).
