Course Description

M1: In this module, we explore different dimensions of self that define your identity, understand beliefs and values and mindset to work on a better and strong self persona. [Duration: 2 hours 20 mins]
M2: This module aims at helping the learner examine the role gender stereotypes play in influencing perception, choices, and aspirations. It also aims to understand the interconnections between gender, Science, and technology. [Duration: 2 hours]
M3: The module on Career Exploration intends to help the learners understand what it means to have a career, how a career path can vary with situations and from person-to-person, what influences the world of work and how one can plan for a career. The lessons within this module will help learners examine, reflect and identify their areas of interests in terms of careers and also assess the skills, knowledge and mindsets that are needed to pursue their career paths. The aim of the module is to help learners become aware of what it means to explore a career path and the ways to do the same. [Duration: 2 hours]
M4: The lessons within this module will help the learners reflect on how the STEM mindset is used by professionals in diverse fields of careers both in STEM and non-STEM areas. The videos in this module are aimed at giving a glimpse into the life of women professionals who talk about their professional life and how STEM is part of their everyday work. The aim of the module is to help the learners become conscious of the knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed to make a STEM mindset a way of life. [Duration: 2 hours 10 mins]
M5: In this module, the learners will understand what is coding and the process it involves and also learn about the problem solving process/design thinking process. An important aspect of this module is learning about coding for social good and bias in the realm of coding. This module is a mix of conceptual understanding and practice. The video tutorials in this module are aimed at helping the learner understand and gain confidence to create their own machine learning models using Cognimates. [Duration: 2 hours 20 mins]
