Welcome
Introduction
Hello. This website was created with the intention to introduce people to Psychosophy, a typology system created by Alexander Yuryevich Afanasyev. He published the first edition of the book in 1993.
I tried to make the information as factually correct & true to the original source as possible, sorting it into the official and unofficial.
Psychosophy has many different schools of thoughts, and unofficial sources can heavily deviate from the original theory in some cases. I hope the sorted information makes everything more clear to you and will help to choose whether you want to follow the original theory or other schools of thought you personally like.
Some people might argue that the official sources always come before the unofficial ones, some might prefer the opposite.
1 & 2: The 1st page (Main Theory) and the 2nd page (Additional Info) contain only information & quotes from the official book. I only wrote the "Aspects" part (taking the information from the book) and simplified explanations in "Influence of Volition on your functions", but included the original quotes inside - " ".
- Introduction to Psychosophy and overview of the official book for newbies (including how Will affects your stack & whether your type can change or not).
- Translated characteristics of the functions and namesakes of the aspects.
- Compilation of all official sources and type descriptions.
The only missing information here is the intertype relationships theory because I don't care & aspect on each position because I'm lazy. I will make sure to let you know if I added them (don't expect them, tho).
3: The 3rd page (Unofficial info) contains unofficial additional materials for Psychosophy - to use them or not is at your own discretion.
- Information about Model E and its creator.
- Statistics with PY/Socionics correlations from Talanov and "Archetype Center".
- Almost every unofficial PY info (including subtypes, quadras, clubs, contact blocks, etc.) that I could find online & didn't see on PDB (most of them are on Russian, but you can run them through a translator).
4: The 4th page (My blog or idk) contains tips, my personal thoughts related to Psychosophy, and other stuff from me. Feel free to ignore it.
I heavily recommend reading about the differences between Psychosophy and Attitudinal Psyche (another typology system based on Psychosophy), since it's been a very important topic in the community - PY & AP: Differences.
