This is the PLES duty schedule where we plan collaboration times and coverage for grade levels that are collaborating.
This is a second-grade collaboration agenda.
PLES provides a protected collaboration time for all teachers at least one day each week to collaborate with teachers in their grade level or content area and a second day for vertical or interdisciplinary planning. This collaboration time also includes our special area teachers, our school counselor, and our media specialist.

Agenda for the vertical speed collaboration
This is a picture of 3rd and 4th grade teachers engaging in vertical collaboration about PBLs.
Pictured are sheets of chart paper that each grade level used to record and organize their ideas for each PBL. They show what each grade level is responsible for with each PBL and how it vertically aligns. These are posted in the workroom for teachers to reference throughout the year.
This is an example of Collaborative "Speed Planning," that we adopted from Alicia Beck and Tybee Island Maritime Academy. This type of collaboration allows multiple grade levels to collaborate with one another about PBLs.
