Leadership and teachers use the feedback from showcases to improve their instructional practices and integration of STEM into the curriculum.

Each guest filled out a copy of the Bartow STEM Indicators, which mirrors the state indicators. The feedback from each guests' sheet was averaged together to get the highlighted results on the form.

Teachers tried out different stations to experience what hands-on STEM activities can look like in the classroom. While completing these tasks, teachers had discussions and brainstormed how they could adjust these activities to be developmentally appropriate and to meet standards.

Kim Martin, Director of the Teacher Resource Center in Cartersville, Georgia, helped us officially start our STEM Journey by bringing examples of STEM investigations that the certified staff explored in stations.
Chicken Day was created to celebrate the Pine Log Chicks. The focus of Chicken Day was to have fun learning about chickens while participating in chicken-related activities. Some of the thematic activities that support our Chicken PBL, included cooking food with eggs, chicken observation and writing prompts, dancing like chickens, and coop-decorating contest that students created in Canva.
