Plein air paintings - alla prima - presented here are from my participation in the Eagle plein air festival (two), a trip to Cannon Beach (one) and from my January 2026 trip to visit family in Australia (seven). Can you guess which paintings are from Australia, Oregon, or Idaho? I am a former educator and for the past nine years a dedicated plein air and abstract expressionist painter working in the field (often solitary, as I like peace and quiet) and out of Studio 101 I, Gem Center for the Arts, 2417 Bank Dr, Boise, Idaho. What I appreciate most about the work I do today is the opportunity to

experiment and create a work of art that noone else has ever seen before.
