Artists in Action

Our members are hardy souls who find a sense of adventure and  accomplishment when painting on location. Here is a selection of photos that fully encompasses our mission statement:

"The mission of PAPI and its members is to encourage and promote Plein Air painting as a unique form of artistic expression through the fellowship of artists at all levels. Members are encouraged to share ideas, enthusiasm and experiences with each other and with all those who appreciate great art."

JANUARY EXTREME PLEIN AIR CHALLENGE

PAPI ANNUAL MEETING AND PAINT OUT

MK NATURE CENTER

The meeting was held at the MK Nature on Oct. 19th. After the meeting members enjoyed lunch in the park and then a paint out along the river and in the MK Nature Center.

Several of our members participated in the Eagle Plein Air Festival (Oct. 5-12). Members participated in the Quick Draw & Battle of the Brushes competitions along with daily daytime and nocturnal paint outs. Demonstrations were offered daily. It was great fun and offered many beautiful places to paint and challenges for all.

QUICK DRAW PAINTINGS

City of Rocks Paint Out

PAPI members enjoyed a wonderful weekend of art and friendship at the City of Rocks National Reserve on the weekend of September 6-8. Some members and spouses camped out while others stayed at the lovely Almo Inn. We joined together for dinner and shared our paintings and enjoyed each other's company. Thank you, Judy Heusner for organizing this event.
