Clip is a Flying/Water type Starly penguin who was saved from the pool, but cannot seem to shake its curse upon his form. As such, he is stuck as flightless, along with being blind to boot. Despite the tenants being the reason he is blind, he forgives them since he understands it was due to his actions at the time. Now reformed and keeping an eye on Abyss (whom he still hates with a passion), he maintains the Spa and makes sure it is not only safe but a pleasant experience for stress relief. Do not try to start shit in his new little peaceful domain or he will not tolerate it, as he is much stronger than you would think. He isn't the man he was in the pool after all...

Sadly he has passed, and at the hands of someone he considered a friend. The Ex-Chef Buffet has added him to the Soup of Infinity, where the last of his kindness will be eaten and enjoyed by guests at the Banquet.

Yawning Deep Backstory Info

Backstory and Curse (before becoming monster): As a human, Clip was a rather cunning thief. They were the fastest thing on two legs as far as anyone in Solaceon town was concerned, and anything they couldn't run from was just an opportunity to call upon their winged friends to help pick them up. After many successful years of thieving, they eventually found a girlfriend and thought about settling down with them after one final heist. It went bad and they ended up dying while trying to get away from the police, unable to see their loved one again.

As a tenant Clip was rather kind if still a bit of a show-off. Quite the ladies' man, he would flirt here and there and was often seen among larger groups of friends. When he disappeared there were many weeks of searching for him, but eventually even his closest friends had to give it up on account of how little evidence they could scrape together trying to even guess where he was taken and by whom if that was the case. Little did they know he found somewhat of a new job below the murky waters of the pool...

Personality as a Mutant:

+ Enthusiastic, Strong-Willed, Level-Headed

When he is with his group, he is always the man with the rationale to come up with decent plans for the more intelligent members of his platoon to delegate over. He is usually first to recover from surprises and unforeseen nicks in their plans, being good at improvisation on the go. When in disguise as a cuter smaller individual, he shows an enthused side that is excitable and eager to impress, much like a child, to convey innocence.

When boasting of his abilities, he can be quite the show-off. He knows he is fast, and he makes sure everyone else knows about it too, through both his actions and his words. He can be rather excited when recounting these things, in which case his speech might get a bit louder and faster. When with his platoon however, he is quiet, calm, and methodical. This helps him coordinate his teammates a bit more readily as a mock sort of second-in-command.

Considering himself quite the speed demon, he can zoom in and out of precarious situations without much harm, so he is pretty sure of himself when it comes to certain trials. This in turn can make him a tiny bit sloppy on the draw for certain missions, which is why he performs best with a group. His cruelty knows no bounds and his savage nature is easily seen once his facade is let down.

Abyss || Hatred

Some of the Manor may have forgiven her, but he never did. She is still just a petty drama queen at best, and a manipulative violent tyrant at worst.

Buffet || Neutral-Friendly

He considers himself a keeper of sorts to the cannibal ex-chef since they both came from the pool water, and the ex-chef doesn't seem too bad anymore since they haven't done anything horrible since having their legs back. Clip is willing to give them a chance.

Too bad this would be his downfall.

Ezekiel || Confidant

Clip likes talking about romance and all kinds of gushy stuff with Ezekiel, but even more delicate matters he is fine with sharing with the other. They are somewhat close and Clips enjoys his company a lot.

Tessen || Friendly

Clip is grateful for all of Tessen's help during the pool fiasco as well as them having general good character anytime he sees them.

Wyatt || Admiration

The penguin is often caught trying to say hello to Wyatt after being in awe of his calm demeanor and cool attitude. He knows he isn't a real sheriff, but he made him a starfish pin reminiscent of one since Wyatt is a hero in his eyes.

Erik || Friendly

Clip is always compliant if Erik ever needs anything done for work, and loves hearing about his little pets and his blossoming relationship with Maxwell. He isn't particularly close to Maxwell, but he still hates seeing him so stressed, so Clip hopes the two of them have a wonderful time.

Yuze || Admiration

Clip doesn't know Yuze super well, but he has heard of him and wishes they could chat more. The artist types are usually romantic like himself, and they are very tall. Clip wishes he could be that tall and command the room as such.

Sweet Pea || Pleasant

Sweet Pea is such a pleasant person to be around, and they seem so nice, Clip wishes they could talk more. She has an air of sadness to her, but also a strength and confidence that he enjoys being around. He also heard she likes cats, so hopefully he can talk to her about the cats he has seen at the spa.

Larkspur || Friendly

Though a bit fanatical, this little Drifloon is always polite and very talented with his instrument! Clip could listen to it for hours, and their conversations are pleasant. He hopes they get to talk more.

Arlo || Sympathy

Clip knows what it is like to wake up and suddenly be a different type. He used to be a normal Starly before he had the water-typing applied to him without his consent. He hopes that Arlo enjoys his new changes and is willing to lend an ear if they ever have any complaints.

Bat || Admiration

If Seth can stand to take someone on, they are a strong individual indeed! Clip can tell, even without eyes, that Bat is an amazing person capable of having it all: a boyfriend, pets, and a somewhat happy life in this hell. He hopes it lasts forever for him, and that his pets enjoy his spa anytime they visit.

Clip isn't much of a drinker, but he doesn't mind that she is incredibly friendly even in the face of adversity. She just...lets stuff go so easily, and Clip cannot help but admire that. He hopes that she never has trouble at the bar and she is treated well among her peers.

Juha || Familiarity

Deja vu hits him when he hears that Juha and his girlfriend are doing well and enjoying life at the Manor. In a good way of course, he is happy that other people can enjoy love, and bitterness has all but left him after escaping the pool with his life. He has heard good things from Willow about Wesley, so he hopes they have a happily ever after someday.
