Despite the treacherous history of events that plague the manor and its tenants, this summer has been quiet the fulfilling and safest the manor has experienced in... Watcher how long. To think that this season turned to be the most ideal vacation season of them all? Well, some tenants would live to tell the tale of. Tenants such as Ceres and Lucifer lounge in the clear cyan waters with floaties to lift them up, relaxing and chattering under the hot (but mildly comforting) sunlight. Other active tenants such as Erik or Amertat took a more lively approach, finding the right place to dive under or just simply cannonballing into depths of blue. Perhaps other tenants were more preoccupied with the goodies Seth and Cass provided to the customers such as Asami, who donned a new one piece while trying out the manor's version of strawberry cheesecake ice cream. Or perhaps this summer's heat made people act a bit more intimately amongst each others, where eye witnesses noticed a certain Cofagrigus and Solrock tenant exchanging words and proximity during their time at the pool.
But as much as we desire more of sunshine's glistening on chlorine-filled water and the taste of the chef's special recipe for ice creams and sorbet, Summer must come to the end. As you retreat back to your room smelling of chemicals and covered in towels, you sighed and prayed that the Watcher won't give the upcoming season and events won't have an even harsher consequence. Watcher forbids you even have fun...
The next day, you wake up feeling your heart beating heavily through your chest. You panted, pressing your hand over your chest to ease the palpitations away. You took a breather, taking a big huff of air into your system before relieving tensions breathing out. You were calm...
... But you can still hear your heart beating steadily. Was this beating even coming from you?
You decide to keep quiet about this new (if not, annoying) feature, having thought it was your sanity taking its toil as punishment for having a good time. Surprisingly, a fellow tenant mentioned something along the lines of a heart beat; as for another, and another, and another. Sooner than later, you learn that everybody here can hear the same heartbeat you're currently experiencing as of now. What, Where, How?
"I missed the feeling of cool mist on my skin~"
A familiar voice rings in the air alongside constant heart beat. You and your group witness Buffet trudging with the help of a walker, dressed in hospital garb and skin as dry as ground in a drought. They looked as if they could see better days ... but hey. They evolved into a Hypno during their recovery. Huh, summer does bring surprises.
"Ah those were the days~ You know... I don't think we ever discovered where exactly the palpitations came from. Or perhaps we did? Bahaha! Such a pity to be in retirement. You really can't remember much after returning from the depths of the sea. The curse truly does run deep~"
Buffet's rough and hoarse laughter mixed with the ominous heartbeats ringing in everybody's ear. Perhaps you should take a look around the manor to see what's up. It beats trying to bet which of the two noises would die first.
