The room mix-ups seem to have been made into a good thing by some tenants, and a bad thing by others. Star and Kitty ended up having a sleepover while Tessen found a stranger grieving his dead pet. The newly announced boyfriends Bat and Epsilon roamed the halls with their pets, making light of the situation as a way to have a date while Slick and Odi had a territorial showdown trying to decide whose room they were really in. Ordell and Glitch dragged around two parental figures they had found, almost like a family, and some tenants got to take their comments straight to Weston.
Bonds were made, and bonds were broken, but thankfully after some complaining to the managers, much to Weston's and Silvano's headaches, things eventually got sorted out and put back in order. No longer did strangers have to go door to door like salesmen trying to find their correct room, the swapped mess was fully sorted out!
Between all of the hectic mess, tenants barely noticed that the unown and staff had been working overtime, not just on their rooms, but on something...else as well. Moving furniture, bringing in secret items to the previously locked event hall, which had been vacant for two years since the dreaded masquerade where Willow had died had occurred. Those that remembered spread the stories about Lux's treachery like wildfire, some bewildered and some amused that such a thing could happen between the staff.
No matter what happened, it seemed like there was to be another ball this year. A few nights after the rooms had been sorted you got a flyer explaining what was going on with gorgeous gilded lettering. The theme, rules, and information on the newest ball were on it, and everyone was invited as long as they stayed in costume. The twist of it having an art gallery to go with it was a rather interesting choice, and matching the theme to it seemed only fitting.
It is time to polish off your costume skills and add another item to your wardrobe if you want to be in attendance to the most anticipated event Woe Manor has seen this year! Perhaps you can even snag a dance with someone you know...
Dear Tenants,
You are hereby invited to Woe Manor's annual ball. This year, we have a special guest organizing the events, providing artwork for all of our tenants to enjoy. We hope to see you there.
The theme of the night is fine art. Please dress in formal attire and remain respectful of the gallery that has been put together for our annual ball.
The ballroom will be unlocked on the night of the ball and instructions on how to find it are on the back of this invitation. In addition, the halls will be cleared this night so that everyone may walk along them to enjoy the gallery without any risks. Please enjoy.
Sincerely,
Weston& The Curator
Welcome to PKMN-WOE’s Annual Ball! Get dressed in your finest attire and polish your dancing skills. It's the formal event of the year!
This event will be active from October 1st to November 30th!
All art submissions must include at least one lined(or lineless) halfbody, with either color or shading, to be counted for the prompt bonuses.
All literature submissions must include at least 750 words to be counted for the prompt bonuses.
Each piece can only complete one prompt!
Make sure to tell us what prompt you are completing in the description of your art or literature so we can reward you correctly!
Draw/write about your character’s Gala costume for the party! The theme is Fine Art & History. So anything Met Gala, Historical, Artistic, and Camp works!
This prompt must be completed before any others for this event. The unown won't let you into the event without an outfit after all.
For our authors, you can complete this prompt by writing about a character picking out or designing an outfit. Written entries only need to be 500 words.
This prompt can only be completed once per character.
Draw your character talking to other characters interacting with other party-goers, grabbing something to eat, or even asking someone to dance with you! Be sure to ask for their permission first however.
You must ask an npc to dance before dancing with them, see how to do so below or within the #care-to-dance channel within the group discord!
This prompt must be completed with at least two fullbodies.
If this prompt is completed as a collab the bonus doubles! (This cannot be done with npc dances.)
This prompt can only be completed three times per character.
To ask an npc to dance you must send a message in #care-to-dance with the form below. A mod will respond to your message telling you how the npc reacted and if they accept your offer.
You can only ask to dance 3 times per character. Even if the npcs reject you 3 times you cannot ask again.
You can only ask an individual npc to dance once. If they reject you, you cannot ask again.
If you want you can include a short dialogue of how your character would ask the npc to dance, please keep this brief as no one really likes being monologued at.
Npcs accepting requests will depend on a character's relationship to the npc.

Draw/write about your character's gift you have gotten from the Curator.
These gifts can range from paintings to statues, however, they must parody off of a historical piece of fine artwork you see in museums. See some example works here.
Parodied art pieces aren't genderlocked, however, characters within the parodied art pieces must fit the setting of the picture as well as be dressed safe for work.
Multiple people can take inspiration from the same work of art, once someone draws a character in a certain piece, it is not locked.
For our authors you can complete a prompt by describing, observing, or reacting to their own personal piece. Written entries only need to be 500 words.
This prompt can only be completed once per character and an alive character can only show up in once in entries from this prompt.
If someone wants to do a collaborative parody piece with multiple people present within their painting/piece, they must know that their character must ONLY be in that piece and that piece alone.
Dead characters can be all over the place. If you want to have Texas be a background character for one character, they can be one for another piece as well.
Let the festivities begin!
Join the real time event rp taking place in the discord server! It will be active from Oct 10th to Oct 31st. More details can be found on the discord server as the date approaches.
You spent all that time preparing to look grandeur at the party, well then. We will put it to a vote!
These polls will open at the end of the event. You will be able to vote in character and out of character for various categories. The winners of the categories will receive rewards!
