At the end of the month, Ozwald compensated anyone he felt deserved it and went back to cleaning the library himself, a bit miffed that only certain sections of the library actually got to be cleaned. He had a ton of work to do on his own now, but that wasn't anyone else's problem anymore! The tenants could finally have some time to relax, breathe, enjoy the fresh air...but the breeze seems to be all but gone from the grounds. No wind is blowing, no clouds obstruct the sky, and the weather seems to be stuck on one setting: scorching heat. The sun is acting as if it wants to bake the manor and all of its inhabitants with how hot it is outside.
Across the grounds you can see people trying to cope with the heat in various odd ways: Lilith, Kahu, and a few of their friends were all trying to see if the pool water was at least lukewarm rather than hellish, Cali was attempting to form some kind of black ice igloo with their spells that kept melting only an hour or two after it was formed, and Malachite was trying to keep themself and Haven cool by using water-type spells every once in a while when they could muster the strength to. Hell, even at night someone swore they saw the Crypt of a blue bird trying to nestle into the fountain outside in the front yard, attempting to take some kind of a bird bath to cool off despite the water being extremely hot.
Everyone was doing quite a bit of suffering, but if you asked Weston, he would simply give you a cheeky smile past his sweat and state, "This happens from time to time, Summers at Woe tend to be pretty unbearable. You're lucky last year wasn't this bad, heheheheheheh~" The candles that usually provided life-giving light now only furthered the stifling heat inside the walls, with Unown Servants going sluggish even compared to their normal movement speed due to how hot it was. It seems you would have to wait this one out a bit sadly.
