For those that helped during the harsh winter, many thanks were given out by Weston in the form of monetary gifts, and Willow seemed much happier than usual since her stock seemed to be in good hands. You could see all manner of guests being thanked by her, whether they be a shiny Gardevoir girl or a strong Golduck, and those who did come back certainly had stories to tell. The manor was a little less worried about food and supplies for the winter now that the worst was over at least, and the ghastly fog seemingly having vanished without a trace. The short days and long nights were still dangerous, but at least one could see where they were running to.
Winter cold starts to pass, snow slowly is melting, and clouds are out a bit less often. WHile there are still patches of white dappling the still- dead earth and trees do not have leaves, the dreary season is slowly making its way out the door. With its leave comes the start of a new month, the month of February. This is a month full of love and compassion, for both friends, family, and lovers. This is a time to remember who you truly care about and show your appreciation to them by giving them confectionery sweets and small gifts!
A small letter was slipped underneath everyone’s door, as was the normal way to get news spread around other than a meeting, from the resident baker Cassidy! Every letter (or at least most of them) was written on pink paper and stamped with red hearts, as well as being written partially in cursive. The note basically summed up that she would be hosting small baking parties in the dining room for making sweets and chocolates to be handed out this month to anyone you may admire or cherish. She looked forward to helping everyone learn the joys of baking and romance, two of her favorite things!
The letter also detailed a schedule of dates and times, and said it was an open house, so perhaps you could see your friends making confections as gifts for you! Heck, she stressed that she was inviting other staff members as well, so the possibilities were endless for who you would see there. Bliss especially was excited about this event, considering what had happened last year to ruin one of her favorite months. She was excitedly jabbering with her fellow nurses about how much prep work she had to do. At the very least, it was a nice change of pace from running around the forest!
