You can tell a lot of folk got the chocolates they wanted to receive this last month. Their happy faces and full bellies say it all. However happy the last month has been however, the longer the month went on, the longer the smell of the manor started to turn...rotten. You couldn’t tell exactly what it was, but the air felt pungent and disgusting to a noticeable degree. It started to affect everyone’s moods, until finally everyone was asked to gather in the foyer for a meeting run by none other than Weston himself.
The head rat nodded towards an Unown Servant, who started to ring the bell to the front desk obsessively until everyone quieted down. Once the area was quiet, Weston smiled. “Well now, that was certainly a way to calm things down wasn’t it? Eheheheheh~ Anyway, I have heard the concerns of the growing smell coming from various parts of the manor, and I agree that something has to be done about it.” His whiskers twitch. “You may have seen Mister and Maxwell working overtime to try to get to the bottom of this. Bottom of the line: We are severely understaffed.”
Weston scans across the vast sea of faces with a sly smile. “We know some of you already are employed by Mister as cleaning staff, but we would like to open the invitation to the rest of the guests in the manor in order to make everyone’s lives smell better as soon as possible.” He threw out his arms wide. “So until this issue gets resolved, consider this the Spring Cleaning of your life~ Sign-ups can be made with Mister so he can direct you where to clean and get you the tools necessary to clean it. Some areas to focus on will be areas usually off-limits to guests, and even some abandoned rooms we realized haven’t been touched in a while. If you find anything interesting, you get to keep it free of charge~”
The murmurs of excitement ran wild amongst the crowd. Some of them knew what kind of treasures you could find in such an old place, and others were simply delighted to be able to help handle the standard of living if only for a small while. Whatever your motivation, it was time for some Spring Cleaning!
