The first month was fine, it had been a quiet month of everyone getting to know everyone else. No one had died and injuries had been relatively minor. Woe Manor, while creepy, was a 5-star hotel after all. It was a nice place to be staying. The food was good and most of the staff were nice. And to top it off it was all free? That sounded like a deal at first.
The key phrase there being "at first".
One night, as everyone was making their way back to their halls to get some good rest in, everyone noticed the doors to West Wing and East Wing were locked. This had never happened before. The crowd of guests noticed a small note on the first-floor lounge door. It read...
Dear Guests,
I'm sorry to inform you that I've locked all of you out of your halls and your rooms. I felt it was a necessary measure at this point. We've been encouraging you all to form bonds with your fellow hallmates and so forth, but I can't help feeling that some of these bonds are superficial. I've devised an exercise so that everyone can truly live and work together in unity, the last group of guests had trouble with that and guess where that got them...
Anyways, I've locked you out of your halls and hidden the keys away. The only way to find them is putting together a puzzle. This puzzle when assembled will make the location of the key obvious to everyone... It shouldn't be too hard to put it together though... so I hid the pieces all over the Manor! You will probably be able to find the location of the keys without all the pieces so don't worry about getting them all. What you should worry about are the unown servants... they get pretty cranky at night. Just don't run into them and you'll be fine.
If any emergencies do occur in this scavenger hunt just go see Bliss, she can help you.
Sincerely,
Weston of Woe Manor ~
P.S. Beware the Watcher hehehehehe...
Everyone stood there, speechless. The sun was already going down and sunlight was slipping away.
What did this cursed place have in store for us?
Welcome to PKMN-WOE’s first deadly event! One night of terror after the month of attempting to create meaningful bonds. In this event, your character can and will get hurt, maybe even die... Be cautious.
This event will be active from August 1st to September 7th!
All art submissions must include at least one lined(or lineless) halfbody, with either color or shading, to be counted for the prompt bonuses.
All literature submissions must include at least 1000 words to be counted for the prompt bonuses.
Each piece can only complete one prompt.
Make sure to tell us what prompt you are completing in the description of your art or literature so we can reward you correctly!
Unite with your friends, well acquaintances, to face the ominous danger of the manor. If you are going to go out, it's better to be around others...
This prompt must be completed with a collab!
Collabs involving two people earn 25wc, three people nets everyone 50wc, four or more people nets everyone 50wc and one revival herb. If less than 4 people collab, no revival herb will be earned.
This prompt can only be completed once per character.
Each part of Prompt B has a range of events that can happen to your characters. The results are randomly generated but they can range from finding puzzle pieces to death. We won't reveal exact odds, but Prompt B-2 is more dangerous than Prompt B-1, though it offers greater rewards.
Important Things to Note:
Characters can be injured in prompts, the injury is up to you to decide what it is, detail it, and if parts of it it will persist after the event. Injuries can be healed with Prompt C but if you have an injury and receive another you will die.
Multiple people collaborating lowers the risk of bad things happening to your characters.
Characters that cannot die yet (due to their one month grace period still being in effect) but still roll death will faint. If they don't have a revival herb then they will remain fainted until the next event.
You cannot buy revival herbs retroactively. Your character must have a revival herb in their inventory at the time of death to save them.
Please be patient with mod responses.
To start either version of Prompt B you must comment on this journal with the form below. A mod will respond to your comment telling you what happens to your character. Please only have 1 outstanding comment per character at a time.
